Portrait Muse

At first glance, I was thinking that Aaron's hair was going to be the really unique and cool feature in these drawings. I was right, but maybe for the wrong reasons. Aaron is a great model. He works well with props, the environment of the studio, and he has a distinct look. In retrospect, the dreads play a significant role in each drawing, but they serve more as a frame for his face rather than a singular element.

Years ago I might have said it was a lucky night. Now I might argue that we were both in the right frame of mind or mood. Our mutual interest in the drawing session comes through in the drawings.
